PHILIPS –  LED STAND

The Philips LED Stand is a mobile object designed to showcase Philips LED light systems. It features a 3 meter black cube with an embedded undulating object to visualize product characteristics. Designed for easy assembly, it utilizes a 50 mm cross-section jäckl structure with brackets and threaded rods to secure 2 mm thick metal slats.

The organic shape is crafted from individual linear elements, creating a dynamic display that adjusts as visitors change positions. Using parametric design, a computer model helped find the optimal shape and generate drawings.

An interactive database tracked design elements, enabling the creation of unique, complex shapes. Precise assembly instructions were derived from this database.

A Philips lighting designer worked on lighting simulations to optimize the generated structures, ensuring effective presentations.
