NEW TOWN HALL BRNO
The project focused on interior modifications to the entrance of Dominikánské náměstí 1, the New Town Hall in Brno. The design involved redesigning the entrance staircase and entrance hall.
The gatehouse, situated prominently across from the entrance, now features a stone portal and a matching counter in a black-and-white color scheme, enhanced by clear glass elements and the red City of Brno logo.
The two-story staircase hall follows the same black-and-white color palette, respecting the functionalist design of the original Baroque building. A touch of red-brown comes from the carpet and armchairs.
A striking element in the stair hall is a black, backlit depiction of the Brno city skyline, accompanied by a distinctive central chandelier. General lighting in the space is provided by simple tubular luminaires.
