RD KUNRATICE NORTH
The building is L-shaped, where the longer side consists of a two-storey residential part and the shorter of a one-storey double garage. The building is visually divided into three contrasting masses, which are connected by a recessed glass entrance. Plaster with a distinctive colour and texture that contrasts sharply with the plain white cubic mass of the first floor has been used on the residential ground floor. This contrast is also emphasized by the timber cladded garage. The division into three masses with contrast in colour and texture between the materials makes the building feel smaller and creates pleasant living areas at the garden level.
The ground floor is strongly articulated by glass openings, which are smaller towards the street and larger towards the garden. That provides a strong connection to the garden in the interior. The buildings have a flat roof serving as a partially green terrace above the extended first floor.
