FH PRAGUE 15

We created our design according to the client's requirements - a combination of housing with a small business and the possibility of garaging a collection of historic vehicles. The house has a distinctive horizontal proportion suitable for the natural environment.

The design emphasizes the quality of the spatial layout of the individual parts, in relation to the cardinal points or possible views of the surroundings. The building is designed according to modern housing trends, and in a way, it is supposed to represent its inhabitants and the operator of the non-residential space. With its sloping roof planes and the massing of part of the facade, the building is in keeping with the existing surrounding buildings, which are on the border between the city and the open countryside.

The visual and material design of the building has been inspired by the new development in its surroundings. An important element on all elevations is the use of brickwork made of baked face bricks in combination with dark elements of locksmith and plumbing products and parts of the fencing. Ample natural light then enters the building through extensive glass areas, particularly on the south and east elevations.
