HOTEL RUBY

The project envisions the creation of a boutique hotel catering to a discerning clientele. To achieve this, the plan is to transform the terraced building into an unconventional and visually captivating structure. Specifically, the unique design of the ground-level areas and the main facade facing Sokolovská Street will give the hotel a distinctive identity, ensuring it is easily recognizable to guests and potential clients.

The ground-level facade combines solid stone elements with glazed surfaces and preset opening shutters. This innovative approach not only acts as a sound barrier, shielding guests from noise originating from the adjacent street, but also provides tranquility and privacy within the hotel rooms. Additionally, this facade serves as a dynamic backdrop, changing as the shutters open and close, adding to the hotel's character.

The building's overall shape adheres to the existing structure, with setback floors featuring a shading grid and shutters. The space between these shading elements and the facade can be utilized as outdoor living areas. In contrast, the northern facade adopts a more traditional design, featuring regularly spaced window openings.

The hotel's functional layout includes the basement and the first floor for essential hotel operations and amenities such as the lobby, restaurant, kitchen, parking, technology facilities, and staff areas. The four typical floors and two retreat floors house a total of 18 and 9 rooms, respectively. The proposed configuration comprises seven above-ground levels and two underground levels.

In the final design, the facade is constructed using grey stone. Presently, the building is repurposed for administrative use.
